due to your cognitive skills. wn8 was a creation of a mod
community of players. It went through various iterations and they
were working on wn9. However as those players lost interest in
World of Tanks and moved on to other games the development of wn9
ceased. wn8 is now a legacy mod that got passed by the original
developers to a different and still active mod community who merely
maintain it and keep it up to date. The original group of players
who developed wn7 and wn8 actually had pretty awesome math and
database skills. Second wn8 is calculated for each tank in
the game and the formula takes into account more than two
variables. Did you even read anything about wn8? step 1 rDAMAGE =
avgDmg / expDmg -> Basically you divide your average damage /
expected damage. rSPOT = avgSpot / expSpot -> Divide Average
Spots Per battle / Expected Average Spots Per Battle. rFRAG =
avgFrag / expFrag -> Divide Average Kills Per Battle / Expected
Kills Per Battle. rDEF = avgDef / expDef -> Divide Average
"Decap" Points Per Battle ( Defense points) / Expected "Decap"
Points per battle. rWIN = avgWinRate / expWinRate -> Divide
Average Winrate / Expected Winrate. step 2 MAX(X,Y) =
Returns the highest value ( Basically if X > Y then it will
return X, else, if Y > X it will return Y and so on)
MIN(X,Y) = Returns the lowest value. rWINc = max(0, (rWIN - 0.71) /
(1 - 0.71) ) -> Basically this is (rWIN - 0.71) / (1 - 0.71).
rDAMAGEc = max(0, (rDAMAGE - 0.22) / (1 - 0.22) ) rFRAGc = max(0,
min(rDAMAGEc + 0.2, (rFRAG - 0.12) / (1 - 0.12))) -> Its either
(rDAMAGEc + 0.2) or (rFRAG - 0.12) / (1 - 0.12). Depends which one
is the lowest. rSPOTc = max(0, min(rDAMAGEc + 0.1, (rSPOT - 0.38) /
(1 - 0.38))) rDEFc = max(0, min(rDAMAGEc + 0.1, (rDEF - 0.10) / (1
- 0.10))) step 3 WN8 = x*rDAMAGEc + x*rDAMAGEc*rFRAGc +
x*rFRAGc*rSPOTc + x*rDEFc*rFRAGc + x*MIN(x,rWINc) Or
are you merely moaning that other players that you do not like and
wish to report for unsportsmanlike conduct should in someway suffer
a penalty in their skill rating?HeatResistantBFG: Or are you merely moaning that other players that you do not like

As shown in this, WN8 is a lot more complicated than you're giving it credit. But it also isn't one of our tools/metrics. I personally have used WN8 for measuring self-improvement, but I really wouldn't recommend it for anything else. Any rating metric can be manipulated for people to show off with and I personally don't put much value on it while understanding why clans may use it as a base "can you achieve this level" for entry and things.
I would recommend that you either concentrate on enjoyment or pick a stat you want to improve and don't use something like WN8, there will be moments where if you want to improve win rate it will cost you WN8. I certainly have witnessed situations where players have thrown games because they openly don't want to win yet/at all if it means their wn8 goes down. I'd rather win than be purple
