R3dBaron, on 14 March 2016 - 12:47 PM, said: Giveaways in streams are badly managed. Why should we need
to type something in chat to be eligible for the goodies? Why
not just type in chat the giveaways codes with a 10 minute
reedeming time window? Like that you guarantee that only people
watching the stream use them. And with zero chat clutter There are
several ways of showing players faces and team interaction. Your
stream director should have top-down cameras on every team, webcams
for players faces and side cameras on both teams. Its the stream
director job to chose which cameras enter the stream. The face
webcams feed could even be used as small icons alongside the tanks
on the UI teams panel. I understand that on smaller
tournaments it is not always cheap to organize such a setup but at
least for the server cluster finals and Grand Finals this should be
pretty standard. I believe that WG has on its player base better
commentators than the ones you mentioned. WG just needs to make a
casting within its player base. Why dont you create an event for
players to send you YouTube files with them commentating a WoT game
and then you select the best of them and make a final live casting
at WG´s HQ's with real live games. I think you have good
commentators but you can have more and possibly better. Please see
my suggestion above answering number 9. Hello Ectar,
All my comments on the post quoted by you were made with the
best of intentions. I love WoT and I want WoT to thrive. WG
has a problem with eSports and something needs to be done about it.
Please read my answers under your quotes above.
Thanks.Ectar: Sadly with putting codes in chat, they can be quickly taken
by scripts/macros. Any code you put into chat that isn't a one off
code then gets immediately shared on various sites like reddit, the
official forums etc. This happened during Gamescom with the
QR codes for example which were only intended for stream viewers.
As I said that may be possible at the Grand Finals, for the regular
season however most matches take place online and players are not
in the studio. Regarding additional people to cast, for the Grand
Finals there will be a main cast and a 2nd cast covering the 2nd
stage (so we get all the matches). The 2nd stream cast will be
covered by Luke "Dorjan" Kneller, Michael "Anfield"
Bingham and myself. I'm looking forward to trying this after
getting a bit of experience with the season finals.
