You have exactly managed to capture that magical 'Advent Spirit' and brought all those fond memories flooding back. There is nothing perverted at all in the use of an advent calendar as a sales tool… It exactly matches the spirit of the nativity.

Advent is not a concept exclusive to WG or WoT, it's a tradition that trancends your argument due to wider traditions. So no, precedent is not my opinion, It's a widely acepted and practiced and tradition. Had WG adhered to precedent then each day the calendar would have offered a small token to all, i.e. 1000cr, a small repair kit, 10gold, etc. etc. Instead of adopting the tradition of token giving and reflection, they have resorted to little more than a common pressure sales campaign.   Get it?

Ectar:   Lets please not get into a discussion about what exactly must be included in an advent calendar as if there is a global standard that all "Advent Calendars" must adhere too.  When I was growing up our calendar didn't have chocolate, toys or things like lego mini figures. It was nothing but a picture and I had to fight my brother each day to be the one to open the door. Does that mean we just cut all the offers and replace each day with just a nice picture? Of course not, that would anger players even more, especially the ones looking for free gifts each day or massive discounts.   The concept we created here was a way of offering new options for a limited time only, we thought it would be cool do it it like an advent calendar where each day it's something new and we have players thinking "Oh I wonder what's next". Now if you're going to be all sarcastic about pricing or start asking about vehicles we've said multiple times won't be available for XYZ reason, this promotion isn't really for you.  I can only apologize for any confusion where players may feel that for what is a premium shop promotion, rather than selling something we would instead be giving out freebies each day. (The same freebies that when players pick up through playing the game via missions, are frequently source of complaint with regards to "is that it?")
