Ectar: We just wanted to clarify any questions/comparisons that may
come up regarding this event and being compared to the current RU
event which rewards 2x exp for wins and losses during the same
date. We though long and hard about this in EU and felt that
rewarding everyone for losing would not encourage a productive
atmosphere for playing during Sunday. By giving players 2x exp
only for every victory it means that you have a goal to work
towards and winning feels more special. If you knew you were
getting double exp regardless of the outcome of the match, this
could lead players into not caring if they win or lose and battles
not being "played to win" which is not something we want to
encourage. Additionally only the top 10 players in the winning team
qualify for this bonus to prevent anyone from going afk or just
charging blindly across the battlefield to die
quickly, going into their next battle hoping their team
carries them to a win. We hope you understand where we're
coming from regarding the difference in the events and wish
you all the best of luck during the weekend and especially on
Sunday. Should this type of bonus prove popular with the
community it's likely it will feature more often.
