Dwigt: As Col Potter said, and as I believe (since I'm not a level
designer either) symmetrical maps, even in other games where you
have 2 teams facing each other in deathmatch/capture the point
modes, the maps are symmetrical because they are balanced between
the 2 teams and should offer same access and line of fire on the
objectives and enemy team. The visuals and the elements can be
changed and different on each sides to make them different and less
boring ofc but in general both sides should be equal in those
modes. However, in a different game mode like payloads (not in WoT)
or for example Frontline, the map is not symmetrical since the
attackers are pushing forward and each stage of the map should be
different.
