I have seen so many Super Hellcat accounts like that in my teams. (Like I almost should make a screenshot compilation of those.) It should be about battles done total / in the current year and not registration date.
Edit1: Like how was I supposed to register for beta if I didn't know the game existed in 2011?

Dwigt: Players that already left the game and are not active still need to
log in in order to get their rewards. They played the game 5 years
ago and contributed to this community, if they want their rewards,
they will need to log in and maybe play a couple of battles and see
what's new. Next year you'll be getting additional rewards. That's
how seniority works
