  The same goes for promotional, event and training videos, animations and announcements.  They are an annoyance, not a benefit.  First off, they are a slow and inefficient method of information transfer.  Secondly, WG have a habit of padding them out with meaningless hyperbole and pointless fluff (backstories etc.).  This all makes every WG video and stream, and most announcements, utterly pointless and worthless.   The only information needed is what, why, how and when.  Everything else is a waste of my time.   I appreciate that this goes against the whole ethos drummed into modern internet designers who are conditioned to think shiny shiny is more important than content,  and I understand that there are a lot of people who enjoy the pointless fluff (I genuinely pity those sort of people) so all I ask is that companies take the effort to provide a written description of the event that concentrates on the important bits and leaves the crap out.   Edited to add: I enjoy a good bit of fiction as much as anyone else.  However, if the person writing the fiction was any good, they’d be pushing out books, not writing guff for a computer game that basically consists of driving from point to point, blowing stuff up.
