Update 1.10 Release - General Feedback

It's far more likely for someone to watch the video than to read hours worth of text. Anyway, it actually has become harder to earn bonds as opposed to what is said in the video, because you now have to play tier X, which is not profitable for most players, as well as that new players don't even have tier X tanks. Furthermore, with the constant changes to vehicles it becomes more likely each update that you will want to stop playing your now nerfed tier X vehicle. Even if it becomes more balanced after, it is not the same vehicle you loved to play.

Dwigt: Please watch the video again that I linked and listen to what the narrator says at minute 4:41And again if anything is missing from the video and the article, we are trying our best to answer your questions on the forums. I mean I personally answered a similar question in a different topic.

But you can’t simply dismiss how unrealistic this makes the testing and how skewed the feedback that generates. We used to do a 2-phase testing and feedback stage in my work, one “ideal world phase” followed by a “real world phase”.  For WoT, it could be as simple as for a big patch like this, a 2 week phase with unlimited account resources on the test server as it is now, followed by a two week phase where you get an exact copy of your current account on the test server so you can objectively evaluate what the upcoming changes will mean to you on the live server. This would make your data gathering a lot more reliable and give players a lot more realistic view of what’s coming. Shouldn’t be very hard to implement at all. Maybe something you can consider for the crew 2.0 testing phases.   But what bothers me the most is that despite getting replies from WG staff (thank you for at least replying), you all skate around the actual core issue with generalised answers. So let me try one more time. - Did you clearly, specifically and separately ask if we wanted the FREE re/de-mounting of binocs, camo nets, toolkits to be REMOVED, meaning we’d have to pay 10g to remove them or sell them and lose half the credits? - Did you clearly, specifically and separately ask if players understood they would have to buy a separate piece of equipment (binocs, camo, toolbox) for every tank that uses it after 1.10? - If so, are you saying the vast majority of players knowingly wanted this, PREFERRING to repeatedly pay gold and credits and spend millions buying additional equipment, rather than swapping them for free as the do now?   A more fair solution could have been to restrict swapping to class and or nation. That still would have forced players to spend a few million extra and help you drain credit stockpiles, but still not severely punish new, low tier and free to play players.

Dwigt: It's a good suggesting worst forwarding to our devs and again I get what you're saying.I'm sorry if some if your questions slip through our nets sometimes but we have different topics and thread to cover. You can always send me your questions in a PM. I know other CMs receive many questions and PMs but to speak for myself, I reply to all PMs. To answer your 3 questions, I would say most of the players agreed with the camo/binocs changes simply because they would prefer having team mates with the correct setups on their tanks rather than buying 1 camo net and equipping it on all tanks just because it's free. And before going on the sandbox servers, everyone was aware of this change. (The article was live before the server) So while answering the survey I'm pretty sure they were aware of the price.
