Dakiras: You could always tell them how ineffective gold is as a material for ammo. APCR, I believe, is tungsten carbide (I will have to double check this!) so you could always respond with something similar.    Personally I find that knowing what shell hit me is useful but only to a certain extent. By this point, if my armour has been penetrated, I'll no doubt have sustained pretty heavy damage (I play lower tier Meds currently) so it's not much use to know what hit me... just that I was hit and I have to hide my posterior from further damage.
