Berbo:   I can say the same about you guys sticking to the other idea, it doesn't really contributes to the discussion but ok :)

It's far away from fair that if a worse clan manages to win either of the top 2 clans, the worse team has to win again the same top 2 team before getting to the finals. INVIL (hopefully I remember correctly) managed to win FAME in group stage, so they got the easier side of the playoff bracket as they deserved. As a viewer of the tournament, I didn't see any problem with FAME and CSA meeting in the semi-finals, that was just what FAME deserved.

Berbo:   That's very subjective, "it's not worth" could be rephrased to "I believe it's not worth" as by all means it is worth based on numerous arguments and the whole idea of seeding. I see bigger damage for the tournament to have top teams meeting early than same teams playing again.

I understand that this is kind of "finals" for the global map season, but then again the tournament itself has nothing to do with the season. It's not ideal to seed the clans from the season because it's not about who played the best, but also who played the most. And that's why ROIDS isn't 1. seed even tho it should be. Luckily it wasn't so that CSA were 1. and ROIDS

Berbo:   You have no issues as a viewer to see CSA vs FAME in semi finals but as a viewer it bothers you to see teams who played in group stage to potentially meet again? I'm trying to understand it, as it's a bit confusing. Tournament has everything to do with the season. It is the tournament to mark the end of season and the seeds are in a way "reward" for the effort, regardless did they play best or most. Leagues in football are won by teams who performed best throughout the season, not those which are better on paper. We've seen it many times. Seeds aren't and will never be a measure of skill but a previously deserved rank which carries over to the next competition.

This way they still couldn't meet each others in group stage, and if all of them wins their groups they can't meet before semi-finals. Even in the semi-finals there's only 33% chance that the 1. and 2. best teams would meet. If you change the seeding to be like this in the future, in my opinion you should also make all of the teams from 5. to 8. the second seed and possibly also divide rest of the teams to 3. and 4. seeds.

Berbo:   Yes, that's the only idea that could work. With 1-4, there's no system (it's not mathematically possible) to protect seed 1 and 2 and in the same time to prevent teams from same group from meeting in semis.   Cheers
