Berbo: Hello guys, Apologies for not taking time to reply to you
here, we've been busy with a lot of other things and we tried to
closely follow Q&A topic where we try to answer most of your
questions. Now to reply on the messaging in the news.
Obviously, we don't give out more gold. It's less as you all
noticed and the main idea in the article was to say that it's
spread better through playoffs as playoffs rewards are lowered.
With increased amount of playoffs we hoped to compensate this cut
in rewards (in playoffs). So spreading in this sense is
better. Gold in groups was removed due to many reasons, I'll
note a few: - there was no incentive for a lot of teams to play
further in the competition - they would take their earning and afk.
This behavior is not ok for obvious reasons. - we have an afk teams
issue - teams quit after they see they can't progress further and
this gives an opportunity to other teams to get the gold with
little or no efforts. Some argued that there are no problems with
this, but there are actually as while we don't mind giving out gold
overall, this wasn't done mainly just to "cut" gold or to "kill"
tournaments, but the tournament or competitive environment should
reward teams who commit and train and win. Not by simply playing
1 game or 2 eventually. Now to reply on tournaments in
general and how are we trying to "kill" them. This is not true by
any means. You may see this as a worst possible decision now but
this is just a first step in 2.0. We added weekly cups, twice the
amount. We plan to re-introduce 5v5s and other fun formats. We plan
to create weekend tournaments and cash tournaments. We even
negotiated to have rewards such as WoT branded gaming chair as a
reward (still to be confirmed, no promises), and many more hardware
items. So we're working hard to improve, this was the first step (I
know, many will say it was a bad step) but you'll see soon enough a
lot of positive changes and a lot more opportunities to win
rewards. We may not reply to all your posts but we're
actively reading and paying attention to your feedback. Our goal is
to provide you with more opportunities, bigger and better
tournaments and if someone wants to play ranked, feel free but by
no means we're trying to push anyone away. Feel free
to share any additional concerns or feedback you have, We'll make
sure to check it out and work on it Thank you
