lord_farquad: Thank you to those who again who informed me of the issue. It seems that another issue has arisen with the battle settings, causing similar issues. Again we apologize for the inconvenience. I will be rescheduling the battles again, and running some tests prior to tomorrows battles.
The best match time for the final would likely be 8:30 (Monday, July 2), to avoid issues with the Skirmish that will be going on at that time. Please feel free to leave some feedback on the time for the last match, as we'd like to ensure everyone is still able to participate.
Please note that the next rounds will occur under "Playoff 2"

In a prolonged season such as this information is key. I don't know if you use the app. but it reads the news not the forums. If WOT can't keep things up to date enough to allow ALL teams to have EASY access to information then that is fail on them. This should have been posted in the news
to give people a few days not ONE day. I like the assistant app. It's handy but the news portion is useless if they don't use it.

GeneralDirection: Chill with the insults.

We do check the forums, however there are some occasions on which we cannot keep up with all of the forums in a single day. This is when we rely on players to report issues. A big thanks to those who PM'd me and GD!

View PostKhagan, on Jun 27 2012 - 12:06, said: So I did some quick calculations using Flakker's table. I divided the top and bottom half of the bracket into four min-brackets, thus making 8 mini-brackets total. I then proceeded to count the total number of points in each bracket and found what I believed to be patterns and anomalies.
Top Half
Mini-bracket 1: W-A-R to 37th Elite = 194 points
Mini-bracket 2: Shock and Awe to Gvn-mini = 194 points
Mini-bracket 3: WFPK to A TEAM = 191 points
Mini-bracekt 4: SSGS1 to Kare Bears = 195 points
Bottom Half
Mini-bracket 5: A-A Bravo to [DaDs]Army = 193 points
Mini-bracket 6: S.I.M.P to BD = 192 points
Mini-bracket 7: No Dumb Pubs to RS = 197 points
Mini-bracket 8: Reddit to IL Bravo = 193 points
So it seems that the total point sweet spot is 194 + 1 point, therefore, mini-brackets 3,6 and 7 do not follow. It think it is definitely possible to arrange the mini-brackets to equal 194 points total.
Next I checked the first round matches. Total points for teams playing each other in the first round equaled 48 or 49 points, however, this was not the case with the following matches:
Mini-bracket 3 - CB4 vs ACA "Granados a Caballo" = 46 points
Mini-bracket 4 - SSGS1 vs NDP2oo = 50 points
Mini-bracket 6 - RELIC Loz vs VETS = 51 points
Mini-bracket 6 - ACA los viejos vs P-I-G = 46 points
Mini-bracket 6 - RELIC Corky vs BD = 46 points
Mini-bracekt 7 - [Forge] SSST vs AAD = 51 points
Then there are the brackets with teams from the same clan which have been noted by BigCheese, although he left out Relic.

GeneralDirection: The mini brackets don't add up for you because some division winners won their division with fewer points than other division winners.

View PostBigCheese256, on Jun 27 2012 - 01:27, said: All this happens before anyone is guaranteed gold. If winning this thing means beating one my clan's teams early on then I'd rather not win at all. You need to arrange the teams so a clan isn't fighting itself early on.

GeneralDirection: That would be giving preferential treatment. The bracket was set up based on placement in the regular season, and that's the way it's going to stay for this one.

lord_farquad: Currently the bracket is not subject to change, unless we discover an error of some kind in the calculations. Note that teams were paired as was explained in the playoff article. Division winners were paired with the lowest point wild cards, again based on points. The wild cards were also paired based on points (highest point value against lowest remaining point values).

Do the posts come up on a regular basis, like 3rd thursday of each month or something like that?
Sorry not trying to be a pain just need to get it right
Thanks for the help.

lord_farquad: It depends on the popularity of that Skirmish. In some Skirmishes 24 hours is plenty of time. With others you will want to apply within the first 12 hours or so. Skirmishes are almost always announced on the Wednesday prior to the event.
