Quote Tankers!
In order to bridge the gap between World of Tanks' gaming communities, previously separated by geographic boundaries, Wargaming is breaking into the global competitive gaming with a 2.5 million dollar prize pool for the 2013 season!
The new league is currently scheduled to launch in the first quarter of 2013, and will adopt the format of traditional competitive gaming by way of regular regional tourneys and playoffs leading up to a Grand Finals. Wargaming's Global eSports Director, Jonghyuk Baak, has this to say about the development of the Wargaming.net League:
"The scale and popularity of competitive gaming has been skyrocketing over the last couple of years, and we have now reached the point where we can focus significant effort on advancing World of Tanks on to the global eSports scene. Wargaming.net League is a groundbreaking step in our quest to bring the game’s eSports potential into the international spotlight.”
The Wargaming.net League is planned to include tournaments within other company's MMO titles, when they reach their release stages. Andrei Yrantsau, VP of Global Operation at Wargaming says the following about the development of the new eSports League:
“Now we have a sustainable tool to broaden our global eSports involvement in an unprecedented way: stimulate the growth of the competitive community, organize bigger and better tournaments with larger prize pools than ever, and provide our best pro gamers with completely viable career opportunities.”
With the release of this news, expect to see an explosion in the number of high-level teams. It'll now be entirely possible to become a highly paid World of Tanks player--that is, if you've got what it takes to win!

Gaea: Tankers!
We're aware that there are some issues with the battle scheduling on the CW map. We believe it may be an issue with the sheer amount of battles that were scheduled for this particular event. We'll be looking at the logs overnight to make sure we avoid this issue in the future.
Basically, it means you're all awesome for so many of you participating in this event!

This is from that battle from my terrible point of view.. EXCEPT towards the end when I get rammed by a guy who rams me and then leaps across the top of my tank lands backwards on the other side .. repairs tracks and drives off... pretty funny stuff

Oh, and thanking us for our feedback....that does not mean you listen!!!
dance210: I think you may be a little confused. Acknowledging and listening
to feeback is not the same as using that feedback. WG hears what
the players want, but they are under no obligation to provide what
is desired, sometimes because it just may not be feasible. Just as
the players are under no obligation to buy if there is nothing that
interests them.
