Ectar:   I very rarely get frustrated at a post sir, but what you've written here is totally unacceptable. We are a multinational office here in Paris with people from all over Europe working here, not just people from France.  Don't bring up nationalist hate and prejudice, especially in a post about D-Day commemorating people who fought against such narrow minded points of view.   Really dude, you should be apologizing for insulting French people like that. It's an outrageous thing to say and show how petty people are getting when it comes to a computer game.

Tanatoy: Exact, ce ne sont pas les mêmes équipes de développement qui s'en occupent. Et avec la 9.1 qui arrivera sous peu, des améliorations pour les personnes ayant des FPS bas ont été faites, et ils semblent que la plupart d'entre vous qui ont testé la 9.1, ont effectivement regagné des FPS. 

Ectar: Oh it's 100% coming!    Before anyone starts, the guys who worked on this are not the same guys who work on the things you're going to complain about and say we should be focusing on. This is something added into the game for fun. Take it for what it is and enjoy the World Cup when it comes as it only happens once every 4 years.

Karlie:   Ono je to pořád, ale záleží na události ;).Dřív se dávalo pouze 50% a jen hodně výjimečně, nyní dáváme častěji s tím, že někdy je sleva nižší. Takže krom obvyklých 50%  (které se stále dávají jen výjimečně) ještě dostáváte během některých dalších akcích (při kterých dříve sleva na vybavení nebyla žádná) NAVÍC menší slevu. Matematiku si na tom udělej sám.

Ectar: If you want we can give you the same special from 2011 if we're going to use that as an example?       Bear in mind lots of WW2 events will be 70 year anniversaries this year or next. Does this mean every future historical date should also should be treated the same way? (Battle of the Bulge etc)  It starts a vicious circle of entitlement. (Oh but you did XXXX for D-Day, why is that more important that XXXX battle in Czech Republic, or XXX battle in Poland, or XXXX event with the American Army, or XXXX event in Finland, or XXXX event in France).  When you look at the bigger picture it's not as easy to commemorate events as you think and it's certainly not a good idea making 1 event seem more important that others.   @Flection I think you're misunderstanding me.  I'm trying to say it's not cool to say "Hey give us XXXX discount because it's D-Day" - We already have a weekend event planned and the last thing that would happen is the event to be changed based on player demands on the day the event is announced.  Players will always want stuff like that no matter what the date is.   When it comes to historical battles it's about the tanks. We ask for player feedback on the content and if there was anything insensitive or disrespectful to the people that fought then content would be changed. My points were never intended to be controversial and if you've taken them that way I can only apologize.    As before, all I'm trying to say is that players shouldn't expect that because certain date is a historical event, it means we should give out higher than normal discounts or bonuses. Especially when it's common knowledge we're already doing something for that date. Basically before it's even announced you've already disregarded it because you wanted something more special and the only person who set that expectation was you.

Zaproszonych zostanie pierwszych 100 osób, które zapiszą się i wyrażą chęć wzięcia udziału w tym wydarzeniu w tym wątku na forum.
Prosimy o zapisywanie się poprzez podanie w poście nicka oraz imienia i nazwiska, które pozwolą nam na ewentualną identyfikację przy spotkaniu. Tanatoy: Salut Enee14,   Même si je ne suis pas présent au Normandy Tank Museum, l'arrivée était prévu pour 12h et non 10h, ce que les techniciens ne pouvaient pas forcément savoir, comme ils font partie d'une entreprise externe et malheureusement, les soucis qui ont pu émaillé leur parcours les ont faits arrivés à 12h30. Je suis désolé que tu ais effectivement dû faire ce trajet, pour en fait rien. Mais maintenant, tout y est, et prêt à accueillir les joueurs ou non de World of Tanks.

Ectar:   I'm sorry if it seems harsh, that wasn't the intention. What I'm trying to say is why should the points you make above, mean you should get better than normal bonuses/discounts in a computer game?  We have an event at Normandy right now and there will be pictures up soon on our Flickr along with an article to commemorate this event.  I just feel it's wrong to look at it as a celebration or to be happy for the event because you got XXX discount or XXX bonus.  It makes D-Day into something else, an excuse to get freebies. That's not a very nice way to remember the past.  

Ectar:   I can see your point but you then start to look at these events not as historical commemoration, but as a "oooh I'm going to get goodies".  It's not up to me personally but I don't want people to remember the past by showering them with gifts. I think that's a bad way to remember major events.  Sure we can do a tie in event and perhaps do stuff for the tanks/vehicles that took part.  But I don't feel it's right to go overboard and make it seem more like a celebration.

Ectar:   Which country would that be? It would make things a lot easier if we didn't have to guess. Taking a guess based on your username Belgium is covered by our French team which is why it's not an option. Austria is covered by our German team, Slovakia is covered by our Czech team.   

Ectar:     Germany would not be an option in this poll as it's for the English speaking team.   We have a separate team who cover our German fanbase and they organise events all over Germany (nRicochet, SergeantBaba, WARGAMER, Panzergert).   Poland, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Turkey, Spain were all deliberately left out as we have dedicated Community teams who already do events in those regions. The English speaking team (Brynd, iScending, iPaul72 and myself) are responsible for organising events across all of Europe (not just in the UK) in the countries that don't have dedicated teams... Hence the reason for this poll.

Ectar: To say "It's the anniversary of XXXX historical event, you must give us big discounts/bonuses" is a bit disrespectful to the memory of those that fought, It doesn't entitle you to anything, especially in a computer game.    This is what happens when weekend events get taken for granted.  What you've written there is essentially the best bonus possible we could do for players, meaning you'd later expect us to top it with another big event. Expectations get set higher and higher and not by us. You demand/want more and then get upset when those expectations can't be met, when at no point we said we would do XXXX.    The more stuff that goes into an event, the more people expect the following events to be better and it's a never ending circle. Weekend events shouldn't be an arms race to be the best. It shouldn't be a contest to beat the previous event, and it certainly shouldn't be looked at something where demands are made, or people "are off to play XXXX instead"  - If the weekend specials are all you play for, then you're never going to be happy as they're never always going to appeal to your individual needs.

Karlie:   No, jsou zkrátka tací, kteří zapnout tanky, projedou se, zastřílí si, je jim úplně jedno, jestli prohráli nebo vyhráli, chtějí si prostě jen zahrát. Zapnou to místo televize a tací to mají jako odreagování. A ti, kteří to tak nemají, na těch je, aby se v bitvě dokázali zachovat jak nejlépe umí s ohledem na to, co předvedou ostatní, protože to berou víc "soutěživě". A každý druh "soutěže" jde ruku v ruce s emocemi, překážkami, zlostí, radostí apod. A to jak na randomu, tak v rotách, tak v týmovkách, v CW nebo ESL.

Karlie:   No, zkrátka proto, že random je pro většinu hráčů o odreagování (a to na všech tierech), nikoliv soutěž a honba za statistikami...,ale to jsme tu již s Ellem psali.
