background transfers... is there any particular reason why wgc.exe
would maintain about two bloody dozen open connections to
suspicious IPs in Ukraine, Russia, etc. even when no update is
downloading, WoT is running, and WGC is only sitting in the
tray?
Block Quote Hi players, we got your feedback and concerns about WGC traffic! We want to reassure you that WGC distribution algorithms are very similar to current launchers and should not affect your gameplay performance or traffic. We work closely with our dev teams to ensure its safe and has no impact. We are also constantly working on optimizing the technology to make your experience even smoother. As such, some improvements around the libtorrent functionality will be implemented in v17.3, coming soon. We also want to reiterate that WGC is designed to work cooperatively with all Wargaming products, and never interferes with your game ping or affects networking traffic while you play.

I submitted numerous Ping Plotter files, opened ports, and finally the WG check, just so they could tell me that my MODS were causing the lag (They weren't) because I still got lag playing vanilla. All the packet loss was from their servers. They final admitted that yes there is a problem and that they will address in a future patch. I guess that hasn't happened yet.
dance210: Hi Hagendansk, We talked to the dev team about the
concerns you (and others) had with WGC and they have provided some
information.

dance210: Hello 31B44SV5, I'm sorry to hear that you had issues
with Support when you contacted them. The devs are still
investigating the issue, as the previous micro-patch didn't fix it
for everyone.
