gather your feedback and add it to our feedback reports, so I've
gone ahead and done that with all the points I've seen in this
thread.
From what I gather, the consensus here is that the new UI is a bit confusing and takes up substantially more space per item than the classic list view. I don't have all the insight behind all the changes, but I think there is a general push on our part to slowly update all the dated UI components that have been around since the game's release. I don't think anyone was 'clamoring' persay, for a new in-game premium shop, but rather it's part of an overall update process to refresh components of the game client that have been long overdue for a facelift.
That said, personally I do find a few things quite nice about the new shop UI: -For starters, I do enjoy the fact that I can now sell all my shells and modules with one click, rather than having to go through a giant laundry list of right click, sell, confirm. -Additionally, I did buy a premium tank bundle with Gold and I was pleased to see that it came with the equipment pre-mounted instead of dropping it in my depot and making me mount it myself. This might not be useful if, say, you aren't planning to use that equipment on this tank. From my experience in CS, however, quite a few players would get confused when they bought tank bundles, only to see that the tanks didn't have equipment on them. -This will also prevent the issue of accidentally logging in on the wrong account to complete your purchase, then wondering where your goods are. Extremely common billing ticket for Customer Support.
-Another silver lining: it is now possible to buy more than 2 years of Premium Time with Gold. Again, not super useful for everyone, but if you make a good amount of Gold through Clan dividends and Tournaments (shameless plug: we've been running multiple tournaments every weekend, check out the tournaments and esports subforum for details) it's nice to be able to stock up with Gold instead of having to buy it on the Premium Shop. -I may be in the minority here, but personally I do think it looks much, much better than it did before.
Change can be scary, and for someone who has been playing this game as long as some of us have, the old saying of "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" comes to mind. We get used to doing things a certain way, and it doesn't make sense to us that we have to do things differently all of a sudden. For a new player, however, this shop should hopefully be much easier to use.
TL;DR - The new shop is definitely going to take some getting-used-to, but overall it should hopefully reduce a lot of common billing issues and be generally easier to use for new players. Those are my two cents, however that is just my opinion and it is in no way more valid than anyone else's. Thank you all for taking the time to share your opinions with us on the matter!
