received a warning point here on the forum for using the word git.
And 'cretin' is equally offensive, or even more so. Not to me
personally, but the word can be considered as such. Will you get a
warning point and subsequent read-only sanction? Of course not.
Thus highlighting the double standard moderation going on around
here. And most, if not all, is done on a 'has it been reported'
basis first and foremost. As for the ingame chat
suspension, Support stated that I violated the rules on February 18
and thus the sanction is just. But as I did not even play that day,
why should I believe even a word of what they say when it comes to
this supposed thorough investigation? The same was claimed some
years ago with the UC suspension joke, and Support stuck to their
BS even when I could (and did) prove they were wrong. Was it ever
rectified? Of course not. Each and every ticket was closed with a
copy/paste response, and further attempts ignored. I see some
similarities now, but at least with a chat suspension one still
gets to play.

On-topic: oh really it does help if the player is smart enough. I myself sometimes miss things going on at the battlefield and it's good that allies ping the map or your position to get you moving and show you what's important. The message ingame or at the portal shows you on what date you did or say something wrong, so AliceUnchained is actually right.

eekeeboo: And the point of directing the word git at someone, whereas
you will notice I didn't direct it at anyone. There's a big
difference. There's no double standard, just common sense.
The difference between the Chat ban is the chat log the UC
bans were done on number of reports and the investigation wasn't
possible unless you look at replays (if sent etc). You're comparing
apples and oranges and trying to paint your apple orange.

eekeeboo: If you notice what he said, he pings a person not playing
(not actually in the game or at the keyboard).

eekeeboo: You can say to someone "Please contribute more proactively
to the battle" or "Could you please consider your teammates next
time" etc neither offensive and good enough to highlight someone
has fallen below a standard.
