Team killing

View PostZarrin, on 17 October 2010 - 06:48 AM, said: I have a question. How do we go about reporting people for team killing? Not talking about the ah crud shot sorry mate I missed.(am guilty of that). I am more in-lines of talking about the the TD's that follow behind and SPG and kills two of them at the start of the match.
(case in point the player's Name is fang in my last game killed me and another spg at the start of the map.) The reason why I asked is because a few people piped up he does that all the time. and I figure he probable has not been reported as of yet.

Tanitha: How to report team killers in written in the rules + the dozens of additional unneeded posts by players on the same topic. Please read through the forums (especially the rules) and use search instead of opening a new post that is not needed. With 100+k users the forums gets out of hand too quickly with everyone opening unneeded threads.

Quote 2.1 Fair play principles
1. No intentional shooting or damaging of vehicles of your teammates.
2. No intentional blocking or pinning of vehicles of your teammates (neither from the front nor from the rear), including blocking against indestructible objects.
3. No intentional informing the enemy team (via either battle or voice chat) of allied vehicles’ location.
4. No exploitation of in-game errors and bugs for your own benefit. The player who discovered those should report to community@worldoftanks.com. You can also inform us about any bugs and errors on the corresponding forum thread.
5. No use of bots, cheats and hacking software that alters the provided source code and grants unauthorized access to game servers.

Tanitha: Making repeat posts that are already contained in the forums is in itself against the forum rules and usually comes with a 7 day forum ban.
I'll impose a 3 day Read Only forum ban on "Zarrin" as a warning, Please use that time to familiarize yourself with the forums, and read through the rules.

Quote 2.4 Off Topic, spamming and trolling
This category includes:
• Excessively communicating the same phrase, similar phrases, or pure gibberish
• Creating threads for the sole purpose of causing unrest on the forums
• Causing disturbances in forum threads, such as picking fights, making off topic posts that ruin the thread, insulting other posters
• Making non-constructive posts
• Abusing the Reported Post feature by sending false alarms or nonsensical messages
• Numbering a thread, IBTL, TLDR, or any other fad statements
Please make sure that you post your new threads and postings in the appropriate forum. This helps your fellow players and us to maintain an overview and so be able to respond faster with an appropriate answer to your question. Before beginning a new thread, look to see if an active thread on that topic has already been established using the Search feature. If so, place your comments there instead. Keep discussions about one topic to one thread only.
Posts which drift off topic, or content-free posts will be edited or removed. Posting multiple messages with the same content across several forums is unwelcome and inappropriate, since such activities divide the targeted discussions and makes gathering feedback considerably more difficult for us. Such ‘cross posts’ will be merged, closed and redirected or removed. Before beginning a new thread, look to see if an active thread on that topic has already been established using the Search feature. If so, place your comments there instead. Keep discussions about one topic to one thread only.
If a member is found to have participated in such actions, he/she will:
• Be given a temporary ban from the World of Tanks forums, depending upon severity

Tanitha: F1 to bring up the key commands in game.
On there it will tell you Cntrl + Prnt screen is for screen caps.
The screen-caps will goto your game directory.

Tanitha: The email was sent "To You" as a "low priority mail" that doesn't really mean the issue is treat with low priority at their end while they are dealing with it, Just the reply email to you carried that label.
As for stiff punishment, usually it takes them a few days to get to it. Then depending on the circumstances they usually get banned for a day, to 5 days, to permanently.

Quote thanks, but I would also like to add on that this is a beta and punishment isn't exactly stiff currently. I sent in a photo with a player with a -5 and mocking the mods. It got back to me with 'low priority'.

Tanitha: There is no automated banning, there is automated reporting, to go with player reports.
Players automatically reported by the auto system, or reported by players are then looked into by the devs/admin.
In the example above, where a TD killed multiple artillery unprovoked, Id guess the ban would be 5 days first offense, permanent for the second. As for the -5 example above, id guess 5 days -> permanent due to the additional comments. I don't personally consider those light punishments.
Topic closed, and filed into the junkyard.

Quote Wow... thats a bit...
Although weren't they putting up an automated system against tkers/griefers for release or something like that?
