WOT slang

LiannaSilverwind: AP - Armour-piercing shell, standard shell for the cannon, slowly loses penetration over long range.
HE - Highly-explosive shell, usually cheaper than AP shell, does not lose penetration over long range, but usually fails to cause major damage unless it has really large caliber or the target is poorly armoured. Usually used against poorly armoured targets or especially well armoured targets in order to cause "just some damage" before bursting into tears.
Gold ammo - Ammo that either has better penetration (APCR) than AP, but loses penetration faster over range; or wider splash (HEAT).
Gold ammo! - Battlecry of an enemy who was skillfully damaged through the critical spot and believes that penetration was possible only thanks to spent real-life money.
Stock tank/cannon - underequipped tank/poor cannon, usually its user will be called Noob (see later) by its own team and laughed upon by its enemies.
Top tank - best tank of the team at the top of the list, usually with stock cannon taking command of the random team and leading it to crushing defeat by issuing order "Follow me!" (see later).
Top cannon - best cannon for the tank, usually also the longest one therefore prolonging virtual ego. Not every top cannon is the best for every user, hence opinions and playstyles may vary.
Rush - frontal assault straight to the enemy's prepared defensive positions, usually uncoordinated and in most cases failing miserably.
Rush! - preferred advice of already dead teammate or those who are about to die.
Affirmative! - "I agree with something typed in chat during the last 30 seconds."
Negative! - "I do not agree with something typed in chat during the last 30 seconds."
Follow Me! - "We will go together until the enemy is spotted, then I will hide behind the rock sniping behind you, my allied meatshields, while our team loses the base", usual battlecry of lowest tier tank or top tank with stock equipment.
Help! - "I went somewhere alone and have met superior enemy numbers, soon I will perish. If you come to me, I will die before you reach me and then you will die too!", usual battlecry of a lone hunter who rushes the front/flank all alone.
Back to base! - "Our base is in danger, and someone (not me) should go there to save it. I will continue sniping from behind the rocks."
Bad balance/matchmaker, balance/matchmaker sucks - "I do not agree that I am not top tank in this battle and therefore must use brains in order to get more than 200 experience."
Campers! - "I have been destroyed by well-prepared enemy while I was unable to use cover well enough."
Noob - newbie, less experienced player.
Noob! - "I would like to play better than you!" when used by dead teammate, "You play much better than me and I do not like you because of that!" when used by an enemy.
Premium Noob - "I do not like your premium tank, I would either like to drive it myself or I want top tank of your tier with me instead of you" when used by dead teammate, "How did you manage to kill me?" when used by an enemy
Gold noob! - See Gold ammo.
Cheater! - "You are excellent player, even better than me!"
Hacker! - "I cannot believe you have killed me, you are much better than me, I go to delete my account!"
