I think the first couple of posts capture the idea and reasoning behind having General Chat for English. There are other chats for respective languages although I don't think we have one for Japanese yet...worst case we can create one for discussing Anime but I haven't watched Fist of the North Star in years.
For the future please avoid creating topics discussing moderation. If there are questions we usually try to answer PM's whenever we are available.
