Honesty is the Best Policy

I noticed:
So next time could you be more precise and use a proper name of your won topics:
it's not the game rules point 2.4 but Forum (sic!) Rules and Guidelines point 2.4
which states:
This category includes:
• Advertising of, or selling of game accounts.
• Advertising of, or selling of in game currency such as gold/credits.
• Advertising of, or selling of leveling services.
• Advertising of, or selling of promotional codes or pre-order codes.
• Begging in any form. Begging includes but is not limited to: requesting users to transfer real money to the virtual wallet, asking for additional gold/credits, and requests to transfer game gold/credits, promotional codes, pre-order codes, or anything similar.
• Linking to or promoting websites that contain the above prohibited services.
All types of posts for the sale or promotion of the exchange or transfer of accounts, currency, codes, and other services from one user to another violate the EULA and are prohibited within the forums and game channels.
If a member is found to have participated in such actions, he/she may:
• Be given a permanent account suspension for both game and forums for World of Tanks, depending upon severity
Similar restriction is imposed by World of tanks Game Rules
chapter 2: 2. Prohibitions, restrictions and conditions of use, for all game chats and channels.
2.07. Begging/Soliciting in any form is prohibited in all game chats and channels. Begging/Soliciting includes but is not limited to: requesting users to transfer real money to the virtual wallet, asking for additional credits, and requests to transfer game gold.
2.08. All types of ads for sale, exchange, or other options for the transfer of accounts from one user to another violate EULA and are prohibited in all game chats and channels.
So it's practically the same restriction i WoT Game Rules also but diferently numbered and worded.
wait..... article says: advertising or selling and I see only advertising being prohibited both in Game Rules and in Forum Rules and Guidelines...
So maybe by Game rules we were supposed to understand EULA?
Nope
Well, there is a chapter 2: Additional License Limitations with something interesting:
2 C. Exploit the Game or any of its parts, including without limitation the Game Client, for any commercial purpose, including without limitation ( a ) use at a cyber cafe, computer gaming center or any other location-based site without the express written consent of WN; ( b ) for gathering in-game currency, items or resources for sale outside the Game; or © performing in-game services in exchange for payment outside the Game, e.g., power-leveling;
it's written quite dimly and I'm not an owner of cyber-cafe, so only restriction that may be applied to typical user is ban for power leveleing in exchange for payment outside the game/ Wait.... does it mean that if the payment is inside the game (like in-game tranfer of gold) then power leveling is acceptable? wtf?
anyway that;s beside the main point - finding explicit prohibition of account selling
nothing in EULA, but there are terms of Service mentioned in EULA: Terms of Service
1st thing that catched my eye was a link http://forum.worldof...forum/4-rules/.
Oh no, another linkt to another set of rules I had to examine.... fortunately the link is dead....
fortunately for me of course :D
Ok so I'm reading and.... Eureka! I found it! It's finally there!
II. Terms of Use
Please note that by registering on our site or by involving yourself in the Game, you agree to adhere to the rules and regulations we have set in place to moderate our games and our Game's community, including those at http://forum.worldof...forum/4-rules/. It is the responsibility of the registrant to read and follow all of the rules and regulations carefully. If the registrant does not feel that he or she cannot abide by these rules then he/she should refrain from registering. Any player found to be violating our rules will receive a punishment that we deem appropriate.
We retain the right to at anytime restrict the use of our properties to players with or without notice. The process of or attempt of selling or purchasing of game accounts, currency or modify any of the products or related products or use the affiliated graphics without our consent for either real money or in another game currency/items is not permitted. Any player found doing so will receive a permanent ban. Players who also state that they intend to carry out this process will be handled the same as those who have carried out the action.
Finally
I think that the 1st paragraph in mentioned news article should be changed into:
Advertising or selling World of Tanks game accounts violates Forum Rules and Guidelines, namely point 2.4 “Accounts, Gold/Credits, Pre-order & Promotional codes, Leveling services, Begging.” and Terms of Service part II.
note the use of links
Also so many different rules topics with similar names, being refered usualy with the comon name "game rules" insues chaos and makes it quite difficult to find a rule that you know of. Checking for a rule that is not there (for example if I would like to be sure if it is allowed sth that is not listed in the rules and I need to check all of them) is a major pain in the ass.
It's annoying, especially since, as Terms of Service states:
WN may, from time to time, modify, amend, or supplement these Terms of Service, and post those changes on the Terms of Service page. Such modifications, amendments or supplements shall be effective immediately upon posting on the Website. You are responsible for periodically checking the Website for changes to these Terms of Service.
noticing any change in 4 different topics mostly repeating each other? good luck.
I would be really glad if all those terms and rules were united in 1 simple document.

Cheeka: great research! thanks a lot! i've followed your piece of advice and changed the first paragraph of the news.
