Lol WG Stand-to ty for wasting my time

dance210: We do that for the Match-up Melee tournaments and it's something to consider for the Stand-To. The question with doing that is how many extra players should the team have and still make it fun for everyone?   For at least the first week, I want to collect data and feedback to see how it does as is. The Stand-To only has ~48 hr registration, unlike the Match-up Melee which has ~2 weeks. Maybe that will make a difference in the number of players who forget or just don't show.

That way solo players can be introduced to other teams and teams can get a quick replacement to last minute no shows form some of their members?

dance210:   Ideally that is where we want to go! Unfortunately, our tools aren't currently set up to allow players to check a box or otherwise easily tell us that they want to allow more players to be added (and I don't honestly know if they ever will be).   For now at least, our options would be Set up a separate registration for Solo/Party players - everyone agrees to have random players added to form a complete team Set up one registration for everyone. If a "team" signs up short (e.g. below the minimum player limit), then random players will be added to form a complete team. However, that doesn't address what to do with teams who have the minimum, but are below the maximum. Add players to all teams? Add players only if the captain agreed in the team description page? Never add players?   Obviously, we felt as though option 1 would be best. For teams that fall short under the Team registration...well, perhaps the team captain can shoot me a PM (or email tournaments@wargamingamerica.com) before registration closes, asking to have players added to their team?
