here. Disputes To all teams; Failure to follow the
posted dispute rules and give us the requested information can and
will result in your dispute being ignored. I didn't want to drop
the dispute; however I will not hunt through 300+ teams to
determine which team I am supposed to be looking for. As a
reminder:
Disputes must include the following in the body of the email or risk having the dispute dropped by tournament administration: In-game name of the player submitting the dispute Name of the Skirmish Your team’s name with a link to your team’s page created for you during registration Your opponent’s team name and a link to your opponent’s team page created during registration Reason for dispute: e.g. “I would like to report the team for using a tank that was not allowed, the StuG III.” An attached replay of the disputed battle(s) Skirmish Suggestions Yes, I know not everyone will like/enjoy every tournament. Y'all are welcome to voice your displeasure, same as we are welcome to decide to do something, even if it's unpopular. If you have specific ideas on what you would like to see in future skirmishes, please feel free to use the Skirmish Suggestion thread. I do read it and plan to use ideas, when possible. And not to be mean, but if you use the suggestion or any skirmish thread just to say "this is stupid" without explaining why you don't like something, I will most likely ignore it. Constructive criticism is fine and welcome, even if we don't always respond.
Group Stage Sizes Ok guys. I've heard your issues and it's something that possibly can be looked into, to see how big of a deal it is. However, just because it takes a few minutes in Excel doesn't mean that it will only add a few extra minutes of work on our end. Which means, if we decide to try and get all teams approximately the same number of games at the end, I want to hear absolutely NO whining when the groups aren't finished until late afternoon. Getting the groups up that late may not happen often, but we are all busy here and setting up the tournaments can take time, especially for special tournaments such as the map pool ones. Team name/Side of map As has been mentioned, our tools do not allow us to choose which side the team is on. Which means that right now, the side is based on team name. Yes, teams can use the system to get a better chance of getting a "preferred" side. We do allow special characters; teams need to be aware that that those characters can screw with the tournament tools and make weird things happen. The only way to fix this with the tools as they are would be to a) allow no special characters (which doesn't stop teams from gaming the system a different way) or b) let me give you all a name. I promise that you don't want that to happen, so play nice. And before anyone says it, yes we would like more control or at least have it be random which side teams spawn on, but no we cannot change that. Alright, that's all I have.
