_Goliard, on Sep 10 2012 - 05:16, said: Dear Vallter, thank you for responding to me question regarding the
T-127's match maker.I tried to play a few games in my T-127 on the public test server, to give you guys some data to analyse and work with.
Well, to be honest, there's a small problem with that.
Nobody plays anything below tier 5 on the test server, and I haven't managed to get a single game in my T-127 going. Or my B1, for that matter.
All in all, I doubt the public test server will help you evaluate this tank, if only for the simply reason nobody bothers playing it.
Vallter: T-127 and B-1 will be tuned on the main server during the whole
8.0. If the change won't be enough, we will make another one in
8.1. This Public Test has a mess instead of statistics due to
physics and other changes. Thus we will probably need to make
balancing basing on 8.0 statistics in 8.1. I predict that either
8.1 or 8.2 will have many balance changes.
AcesHighMDP, on Sep 10 2012 - 15:48, said: Hi Vallter, one question: on the Panzer IV with Ausf H turret, the
stand-off armour on the side of the turret has 2 doors which were
obviously closed during combat operations in real life, why are
they open in the in-game model ?.This negates any benefit from the
extra armour, since those openings are very easy to hit from any
angle.Vallter: Per data we've gathered they were used in battle in both variants -
open and closed. Because closed variant blocked the way out for the
crew from the side 'door' of the turret. But this is taken into
consideration in collision model. Near the doors the thickness of
stand-off armor is doubled, as if the doors were just behind them.
Eliminateur, on Sep 10 2012 - 16:03, said: Vallter,In the tanks that have spare tracks lines in the front/sides(which was used to marginally improve armor there as well as carrying it) are they taken into account for the armor group on that part as they should?(tracks ARE quite thick, they would work as layered armor of sorts), or their thickness is added to the value of the armor behind them?.
you can see they easily add 20+mm(or more in bigger fatter tanks) to the armor which is VERY welcome.
Examples of such:
the pz 4 H listed above
the IS4 lower plate
Vallter: Currently they have only aestethic function and are not included in
the collision model. Probably, when we introduce them as equipment,
which will be available to be mounted on different vehicles (there
are such ideas), they will give a real bonus.

tanks (KV-220, M4A2E4)? I sold my M4A2E4 a long time ago, because
it kind of sucked when it was constantly getting put in matches
with Tier 8s, since it was slow compared to the regular M4, and was
painfully short on penetration. However, with the MM changes in 7.5
I'm thinking of grabbing a Tier 5 premium for fun and profit, and
the M4A2E4 caught my eye on the wiki. It'd be nice to also be able
to flex my beta tester epeen in game again. So is there ever any chance of me being able to re-buy this tank? Or am I S.O.L.?
Vallter: There are such plans, but I doubt that they will be done till the
end on 2013
FaustianQ, on Sep 10 2012 - 19:12, said: Valter, can you go over the reason for selecting the T95E2 over
other possible tanks for the second US T10 medium? Further, can you
elaborate on the second US T8 medium? TIA.Vallter: Who said that? We have not yet released any information about the
second tree. And, unfortunately, I cannot share the information
you've requested yet.
Mouseman, on Sep 10 2012 - 22:20, said: I remember about a year ago the Sturmtiger (spg) was being planned
for release as a premium tank. What
happened? Is the Sturmtiger not going to
happen? Is it going to be released someday as maybe a
tier 9 or 10 arty?I was higly anticipating driving a Sturmtiger around and using that naval depthcharge launcher to shatter opponents. Please tell me it hasn't been entirely shelved.
Vallter: Probably we will implement it someday, but not this year. We have
other vehicles to implement first. For example, Leopard

that we will be refunded for the camo that we bought when the new
camo system come in 8.0. How will we be refunded? will
we get gold, or will we get credit equivlent?Vallter: All players will be refunded for the current camouflage patterns
they have in 8.0. If they have permanent premium camo patter, gold
will be returned to their account. If they will have credit
pattern, they will be compensated with appropriate amount of
credits according to the 'life-term' of the camouflage.
spigalau, on Sep 11 2012 - 00:18, said: Have the developers given any thought to allowing other
classification groups within a users garage other than just
'Primary' ? Would be great to have user customisable groups so that
the tanks you use in Clan Wars could be grouped together, another
group for the ones you are currently grinding, etc.Primary: Lowe, Type 59, SuperPershing (aka the money trolls)
Clan Wars: IS4, IS7, Obj 261, E100, BatChat
Grinding: SU100, T54, E50
etc.
Vallter: We are planning to implement many filters, including Tier filter,
and also give possibility to create custom ones. But we want to
make some other UI changes first. Do not worry, it will be
implemented.
kvolkster1, on Sep 11 2012 - 00:54, said: Why do TDs make so much less exp per battle than any other tank?Vallter: I assure you that they can make same or even bigger amount of XP.
The main possibility to earn XP on a TD is to deal damage. I would
suggest you to learn better spots, where you will be able to snipe
enemies easily.
iron_elephant, on Sep 11 2012 - 10:13, said: Hello,If I ask a question that was already answered, I apologize in advance:
1) the RBT-5, will the main turret gun be usable or is it locked out like the hull gun in the B1(will the B1 hull gun be unlocked in the 8.0?)
2) a diagram of tank icons has recently surfaced showing something called a "German-Agrimotor" a tank tractor, but not fully tracked, is this legit? (and if so, can we expect more non-fully tracked vehicles)?
3) will there be an expanded permanent Chinese tech tree made available to the NA server?
4)the European-Italian tech tree sounds like a rumored tech tree to be developed sometime in the future, will there be a Middle Eastern-Indo-Pakistani tree released or are there too few tanks for such a possibility? (perhaps premium gift tank releases like a Vijayanta [Indian altered version of the Vickers. Mk 1])?
Vallter: 1)Most probably it will be locked, if the multiturret system is not
implemented by that time, of course.
2)I can only suggest you to believe information and gather it from official sources only.
3)Probably in future.
4)Yes, probably we will release them as premiums.

5) Will British Indian crewmembers be available from the British barracks when recruiting our crew for the British tanks/spgs?

it be linked to the kv-13 in any ways? Will that line get linked to the T series Line or will it be completely set apart?
Vallter: No, KV-13 will be linked to existing T-43 and IS only in
future.
The part of second tree will probably have some connections with the currently existing tree.

slenderfungus, on Sep 11 2012 - 13:34, said: Valter, I have a few questions:1. Has this thread been completely ignored now that the 8.0 test is out? It appears that way.
2. Will the T-127 be given it's former matchmaking where it will only be in tier 4 battles again or not?
3. Why are the Chruchill and T-14 given preferential matchmaking, whereby they only see a max tier 6 battles, when the T-25 will see tier 7 and will the T-25 be changed? Like its tier 5 heavy peers, will the matchmaking be changed so the T-25 only sees tier 6?
I tried to make this easy for you so you can answer yes or no. I really don't care about the test evaluations for 2. and 3., as they are irrelevant. A simple "yes" or "no" will do.
Thanks!
Vallter: 1)Since I'm the only person answering this thread on totally
volunteer basis, sometimes, unfortunately, I cannot do that since
overwhelmed with other tasks I have to do. After such period I try
to catch up as soon as I can.
2)We reduced it's MM spread in 8.0.
3)Their MM is the same, AFAI remember. If we see necessity to change it, then we will do it.

tier 1? Couldn't it be placed at tier 2 and replaced with the
A5E1?http://mailer.fsu.edu/~akirk/tanks/, Great Britain, Light Tanks
Vallter: We decided that it will be more logical considering next tanks
coming after it and that it also will give some special flavour to
the Tree. Though it may change before British release.
Downhome, on Sep 12 2012 - 00:31, said: Wonderful game, but like several others you have, for some reason,
made it impossible to remap the TAB key. I use the TAB key as my
left turn in every game I play, mostly because it allows my hand to
relax on the keyboard in a natural position, reducing cramping and
carpal tunnel problems. Is there any file I can edit or any way you
guys can patch the mapping so that ALL keys are remappable? I would
love to play this game and would probably like it enough to buy
gold IF the tab key were remappable.Vallter: We are working on making all keys remappable. Some of them were
added in 8.0
