I know that this question was from a long time ago, but did you ever happen to get more information on the subject?
Vallter: Not now, will make a post on it by Friday.

been implemented in all battle modes. It's been very successful in
clan wars. Requiring teams to scout to determine the composition of
the enemy side. By added this feature to all other battle modes it
would increase the value of light/med tanks in pub matches. It
would teach players to slow down a bit to gather intelligence on
the enemy before rushing in. It would also devalue XVM, at least,
until the enemy team has been scouted. Adding a layer of interest
and enhanced game play to pub matches. An added side effect would
be that players wouldn't feel like giving up before the battle has
even started. It's really time to add this feature to all existing
battle modes! So are there plans to add this very excellent feature
to other modes of play?Vallter: We are discussing such possibility.

introduced after that? The rumor is Japan but can you
give us an official confirmation?Q2) Can we get special matches that are based off of WWI tanks and maps?
Vallter: 1)It's hard to say for now. We will give you firm asnwer soon after
8.1.
2)Historical battles are planned to be implemented and many current maps reproduce battlefields of WWII already.

thundersaver, on Sep 09 2012 - 09:57, said: I shall ask some questions which i haven't received a reply from
the sea serverIn-game tanks:
1.)The addition of SPGs to compensate the SPG tree, thus allowing for Tier X SPG, would the overall exp be reduced to level of those such as heavy or medium tech tree lines? Or would it follow that of the tank destroyer line? or would it be kept the same?
2.) Is there going to be the addition of more than 16 group hit boxes in the game, or is 16 the most that will ever be placed on a tank?
3.) Would all tech-trees have the same number of tank lines? example the RU and GER have two heavy tech trees, two TD trees and a foreseeable two Med trees, would the American and French have similar number of tech lines?
4.) With the Tier 11 and 12 match-maker, would it expand to over tier 15 with the addition of modern to cold-war era tanks, since MM reduces game-play to tanks two tiers above and below it, with end tier tanks going no less than one tier below itself?
5.) Would the AMX 30 be a prototype version or production variant that is going to be placed in-game?
6.) What would be the Tier X British medium in this game? Just want to confirm.
7.) With the addition of a second med line for the soviets, what is their tier X counter-part?
8.) Would all future tier X mediums use APCR for their main gun or would some of the future Tier X mediums use HEAT rounds instead?
9.) Since the Tier X meds are able to use APCR as primary ammunition for combat, would the tier X heavies ever be given a similar opportunity, or would they stick to their AP rounds ?
10.) Since the M68 105mm rifled gun is in-game would it rival the British Royal L7 105mm rifled gun in different stats, or would it similar in every way except for name?
11.) Is the 105mm caliber the highest any med will have in this game(including future mediums) as end tier tank guns?
12.) When the 183mm gun gets added, would it have above 300mm penetration and gun damage of about 1100? Or would all High velocity Anti Tank guns not have damage beyond 1100?
13.) As of now the T28 TD has almost no worth for it's armor. It is understandable that the lower front hull weak spot was added because tanks previously have difficulties fighting the T28 TD, but as of now the armor is still very crummy. You may have the statistics to prove the tank is performing on par, but it is because there are many irregularities such as stats padding and etc. So my question would be would this tank ever be given a buff? The larger question would be would the American Turretless TD ever be given a buff? As of now its "305mm" armor is actually no more than "295mm" and there are tanks with slope armor up to "295mm" or more. So how does this tank even benefit from it's armor? It's armor isn't even that sloped, and doesn't bring bounces or dings against gold rounds (especially from the test server) compared to those who have sloped armor which help those tanks tremendously. As of now the American Turretless TDs would have nothing to their name after the release of the 8.0 Russian TDs, so can anything be done about this? Even the reduction of normalization doesn't help these tanks in any ways as their armor is sloped in less than 10 degrees. Thank you.
14.) The German Turretless TDs are also suffering from this as of now. Would they be given any benefit as they are all very large and their accuracy doesn't help them out much. In Statistics wise the German TDs do well as only a small number decide really to play them past a certain tier. This is not useful as data collection. So thus would the German TDs receive any forseeable change?
In-game audio:Was the idea of separate nation tank crew voices dropped? or is it being re-developed.
When would the WG get sounds samples for actually tank fire?
Would the Idea of having separate sound atmospheres be adopted? for example: in the outside environment you would hear a more lively atmosphere, while inside the tank during scoping it would sound very mechanical? In-game graphics:would tank shell graphics be worked upon in the near future any further?
In view of the purchase of BigWorld Engine, would the Devs seek to improve graphics as a main priority now since they have appropriate tools at hand?
Is there any attempts to develop historically accurate sights in-game or is the standard green reticule the finalized idea? Mechanics:Are any additional perks or skills being considered to be added into the game, or all perks and skills?
With the new physics engine, would outside factor affect in-game tank shot in anyway?
With the new physics engine, would there be an implementation of AP/HE concussion effects on tanks as a separate mechanism as well as visually?
With the new BigWorld Engine, would there be an expected increase of top speed beyond 72km/h that a vehicle engine can produce, or would it still be stuck at 72km/h?
Is there going to be any attempts to allow spotting mechanics to continue functioning beyond 445 meters?
Would the Spaced armor mechanic be re-worked, to something like normalization for the first set of armor and normalization for the second set of armor, and not normalization being multiplied twice one the first layer of armor and no additional normalization on the second set of armor? Collection of DATA
1.) Would the collection of Data still be based on the Russian Data Base always?
2.) Would the Collection of Data actually for once be outside of the Russian Player base? Here is a suggestion, get the tank nation played least in each server and use them as the Data for re balancing. Performing this suggestion is to help to spread the player base to all possible tanks as much as possible so that the play gap in each tank of each nation would be reduced tremendously and thus help the overall in game balancing. The main idea is to draw players away from the most played lines so that the there is reduced tank player gap.
3.) How long is data collection performed before determining of each buff and nerf?
4.) Does the nerfs and buffs follow what the tank is doing best/worst in? Or does it follow other statistics such as how much damage they deal, hit ratio, penetrating to non-penetrating hit ratios? Or maybe average battle survived ratios or how long a tank survive ratios?
5.) Are Tanks given an even chance on the battlefield and given that there are 4 nations, assuming one tank of each nation is available in the battlefield, all in separate teams, do they all have a 1/4 possibility of winning the game?
6.) When tanks are designated for a given role, why are there certain variations of play style difference (such as the T25 AT having no co-relation to the tanks after? Or the Pz 4 now losing it's sniping ability how would it gear players for the tiger tank?) If Data is collected on these tanks which show vast majority doing well in these tanks and having a drop in win/loss ratios or fall in possibly the good ratios in the preceding tanks, would there be an expected change to these tanks and their trees?

That should be all for now, stay tune to more questions.
Please if your able to answer in a similar format for ease of view, Thank you
Vallter: 1)It would be reduced, but currently it's hard to say about the
certain amount of XP each SPG will cost. Probably it will be
similar to TD line.
2)Currently we do not plan to increase group of armors and are OK with 16. But we will tweak game penetration mechanics, module damaging system and other.
3)We will try to make same amount of branches for each Tree. For example, we already have some plans on new US branch of vehicles. But everything depends on amount of vehicles we will be able to find in archives or on blue prints. We won't 'invent' new vehicles just to make a branch of the tree.
4)Cold War era tanks or main battle tanks won't be added. Current in game post-war vehicles are mainly prototypes. Moreover, their characteristics was tweaked to stay on par with 'older' counterparts. So no, we won't increase the amount of balance Tiers.
5)No comments on that for now, sorry
6)FV4202 (105)
7)No firm plans for now.
8)Depends on which medium we decide to use. Hard to say now. Currently APCR is considered.
9)Tier X Heavies will stick to AP rounds for now, but in 8.1 they may see some rebalancing. Unfortunately, due to physics, we have concern that statistics of vehicles can change dramatically, so we are preparing ourselves to tune tanks again in 8.1.
10)It will probably have different stats. It's more balancing question and British vehicles have not yet been tuned.
11)I would not be so sure-)
12)Again, it depends on the game balance. If we see that such gun fits it, we will add it.
13)They are performing well in our opinion, thus don't get buff. USSR second TD line was OP in the first test iteration. We've fixed it. If they continue to over perform, they will be nerfed in 8.1. If we nerfed them to much on the test, they will be buffed in 8.1.
14)We are buffing JagdPanzer E-100 in 8.0. We are not sure, whether the buff is enough and will investigate it during the whole period of 8.0 update. The rest of German TD's seem OK for 8.0 version, except of Marder II.
In-game audio:It has never had a finished end version. We have not dropped it and will implement it. The feature just has low priority
We are trying to do it in 8.0.
It's an intresting idea, but we have to implement many other features before that In-game graphics:Could you please specify your question? I do not know, what do you mean. Tracers? In-game icons of the shell? Something totally different?
New render is currently being implemented, first part of it will enter 8.0. Moreover Multicore support development speed has increased
It's a finalized variant for now Mechanics:Yes, there are such plans, but these features has low priority
If you mean terrain, then yes, it will influence. Wind won't be able to move the vehicle though-)
Answered above in this or previous post
Max speed limitation for the vehicle will be 72 km/h, but with ne physics engine driving downhill will allow you to get a slight increase to this speed.
Max distance will be probably increased. Current spotting works up to 500 meter, if I remember right
Current space armor mechanics are accurate and realistic, so we won't change them Collection of DATA:
1)It's based on all server in global level
2)Answered above
3)Not less then 3 weeks. The 'end' term depends on case-to-case basis.
4)All mentioned ratios and many more are taken in consideration while balancing the vehicle
5)Ehmmm... This more depends on teams and their performance.
6)Tanks in the same branch may have differnt roles. It's OK with our concept.
