And if you've read the threads, this is NOT affected in any way by any of the game's graphics settings, and it happens (to a greater or lesser degree) on every display driver version on both nVidia and ATI, including the very latest beta drivers.
Vallter: Every patch contains a lot of technical fixes, that are not stated
in the patch notes, if they do not mean major engine fix. So yes,
your performance should be improved.
