The_Warhawk: Not quite Lancer,   The first three M26s deployed to Korea were in poor condition but didn't come from monuments, but rather a depot in Japan. All three however, were lost, primarily due to a lack of spare parts. On a similar note, the 8072nd Tank Battalion (later the 89th) was equipped with M4s that were apparently salvaged from Pacific Islands and stored in Japan. The other M26 equipped units were the Army's 70th and 73rd Tank Battalions as well as the 1st Marine Tank Battalion. These however, had deployed from the US.
