Wargaming claims of historical accuracy on Tier VI Medium Tanks

Дата: 11.06.2018 03:23:31
The_Chieftain: OK. This is not a simulator. There are some minor deviances from reality such as 'a lack of combined arms', 'equal teams', 'spotting rules', 'hitpoints', 'track repair', 'ammunition access', 'track tension', 'mechanical reliability', etc... so any claims to historical reality have to be taken with a pinch of salt. We try to model the vehicles as best we can, but ultimately, it's an arcade game.   That said, I'm not sure quite what the OP is complaining about. The German Tier VI mediums were, generally speaking, prototypes or paper panzers, so there isn't very much to complaing about 'historical accuracy' except for the fact that they're in the game in the first place.. The 'real' Tier VIs, Nashorn, Jgdpz IV, and Dicker Max seem to perform reasonably in comparison to their opposition, given that they are TDs.   As for the odd side thread of my background, I'm not sure I see the relevance to this topic. Doesn't have much to do with the game or history. Besides,  As long as HRC, and DFAS continue to believe I'm in the military, I don't think it really matters what anyone else thinks.
