went and ordered tickets for TankFest in June. So there's
that.

Hydrostatic shock is a wonderful thing. The m16 is a good general warfare weapon for the infantryman. But suffers from a distinct lack of utility. Most 5.56 weapons that offer good utility suffer in delivering general warfare capabilities (m4 for example)
The_Chieftain: Well, I won't be there. Too soon after birth of child. The
first month, I expect to be basically out of circulation.

The_Chieftain: I don't know about that. The round was selected purely to
get the highest mathematical number of hits per rifleman, which
applies more or less as well to the M4. For home or police
purposes, there is no requirement to stick with ball ammunition,
and hydrashock-type rounds will do nicely, even out of the smaller
barrel.
