any case, I think in light of the spirit of current regulation of
automatic weapons, specific regulation of bump-fire devices makes
sense. On the other hand, as I said in a previous post, it's
one small thing; additional regulations aren't going to affect
frequency of events. Perhaps to some degree severity in a
crowded location... but given it isn't commonly used in crimes,
probably not even with any statistical significance. But
that's generally how our society works: knee-jerk to something
tangentially related to an event you don't like because it makes
people feel better at the moment. The_Chieftain: It may make sense as a concept, but I am curious to see how
it can possibly be implemented in practice. I mean, how are
you going to regulate sticks? Or even regulate people who know what
they are doing without any assistance at all? There are absolutely
things I wish Congress would do in terms of firearms, but they're
all watching the shiny ball and not doing anything which requires a
bit of thought... Though maybe that defines congress on everything.
I can't seem to find a good blend of coffee. I have good
coffee in the cafés in Europe, but never seem to find the right
blend on the supermarket shelf. Maybe I should try BRC...
