T110's Second Century of Civilised Comfort

The_Chieftain:   Actually, we're simplifying it. There are currently a few different equations which are applied in different circumstances. I've not been paying massive attention, I'm not sure what's public knowledge about the current system. We're reducing the number of equations involved. And, yes, we are well aware that a number of tanks are going to end up getting armor which is actually useful again with a possible resulting change in balance. Our big problem was the 4cm armor of Strv-103. With all the 120+mm guns a Tier IX sees, we had to do something.

The_Chieftain:   Technically correct, but I believe what will happen is that some impacts which currently don't autobounce will, and some which do, will no longer. From my interpretation of the reading, the armor will actually become overall more effective, but it's far more dependent upon what is shooting at you vs your level of armor. You won't be able to simply say "OK, I have more than a third his calibre in armor, and I'll angle 20 degrees and be immune" any more: There will usually be an autobounce zone, but you'll have to think about it.
