Beware the Ides of T110.

The_Chieftain:   Although angling was mentioned in the Tiger manual, it no longer is taught. Part of the problem is that it's angling only to the one target that you're currently worried about. It may, however, increase your vulnerability to something off to your target's side who is now going to be very happy at a flank shot. The other problem is that Tiger just had ridiculous side armor to begin with.   It is of note that when the New Orleans class cruisers were designed, in order to keep the weight down to treaty limitations, they calculated protection on the assumption that the ship would be angled at least 30 degrees to whatever was shooting at it, then made it sufficiently thick to stop the expected incoming rounds.
