The_Chieftain:   As I understand it, Shtora doesn't do anything to the guidance, it does something to the tracker. There is a flare in the back of most wire-guided missiles that the system uses to figure out where the missile is in relation to the sight picture, and it then sends a signal down the wire to correct it. Shtora overwhelms the 'seeker' in the guidance system that is looking for the flare by sending all sorts of flare signals back at it, making it impossible to distinguish the flare from the background noise. Thus the missile may wild.
