The_Chieftain: An interesting concept of a video. I approve.   Couple of points.   The US Army never had any particular intention of buying T14. It was built to a British request. The US looked at it themselves for the technological assessment to see what they could learn, but that was about as far as it would go.   The bulge on the hull front is for the rotocyclone, basically a ventilation fan. It is thicker than anywhere else because it is more vertical. US tank production was specified on the level of "Armor basis", i.e. effective thickness, so lesser sloped parts of the tank had to be thicker if possible.
