The_Chieftain: In one minute for an M1A1? Umm... Assuming you don't care about the target acquisition/engagement process, I would not be amazed to discover that someone was once able to load all 17 rounds in a minute. He'd have to be the perfect height, though, and they'd all have to be sabots, and the stars aligned in his accessing of rounds.   Realistically, I'd say more like to ten or twelve. The first five or six would be three or four seconds per, then start slowing down as the 'sweet spot' in the ready rack is empty, and more difficult rounds have to be accessed.    For the 105mm M1, could be faster. Folks used to lapload those, and the rounds are smaller.
