The_Chieftain:   Fifteen years ago, I was using the originals to cast my own models. Initially it was simple latex molds with plaster tanks for Epic Space Marine, but I graduated to hard molds casting in lead for my Dark Elves. Wasn't perfect, but did the job,

Most of the higher quality kits I've seen for sale (especially large scale kits) are $100-200US minimum, and that's not counting paint, putty, photoetch metal details, resin detail sets, and so on.

The_Chieftain:   Yeah, that Mogami I just picked up had a list price in excess of $200. (But I bought it on sale). Now I think of it, though, I'm not sure where that $60 photo etch set for it got to.

The_Chieftain:   As already mentioned, the ammo is useless without the firearm which is already regulated. I'm another .303 owner, and have had to buy online. Further, local ordinances are shutting down firearms shops, they're using zoning laws to remove "undesirable businesses" from profitable areas, the last one in all of San Francisco shut down two months ago. Where else would I get it?
