The Chieftain's Random Musings Thread

Is this true?   Given that Japanese armor in no way would bounce a 75mm M3, and the fact that the M4 was already in mass producing with nice versions on the way, I seem to doubt this. Plus, T29 and T30 were slower, and the extra armor was not really needed.    If I were prepping Downfall all I would ask for asides from 75mm Shermans are Skinks (with a hull flamethrower instead of a machine gun).

The_Chieftain:   My guess is that if they were still intended, it would be for anti-fortification work.

Hunnicutt only lists the 23 + 5 inch track.

The_Chieftain:   There is a document in my archive record locator entitled "TT1-19-27 Track, steel, dry pin T93 for heavy tanks T29 and related". I did not scan this document, so am not sure what T93 track is, or what the conclusion was from the project.
