The_Chieftain:   Nope. But given the era, probably MkI.   In fairness, APDS wasn't really the cause for 76mm. Remember that the US considered 17pr to be a competitor to the 90mm, and tested it on that basis at the time. As far as Sherman was concerned, it was more a matter of technical curiousity as to what characteristics should be poached, except at Isigny, where that was a short-term "We need something now, will this do the job?" affair.
