from public internet pages, which makes them as reliable as an
unoiled T-34 model 1943. Nevertheless: one, and two, Edit: Did some more research. The X1A1
uses the Panhard AML's gun, which is a smoothbore low-pressure
90mm which at the time was incapable of firing APFSDS I believe due
to muzzle brake design. The X1A2 uses the very recently introduced
Cockerill 90mm MKIII gun, which redesigned the recoil mechanism and
added recoil springs to allow it to fire APFSDS. Due to this, it
lies outside the scope of the game, though Cockerill's modern 90mm brochure[bottom right] places the
APFSDS round at a laughably low penetration, of 100mm @ 60
NATO. And the HEAT round is low at 130mm @ 60 NATO... using
the modern Cockerill ammo statistics. I have another set of tables,
but from Mecar I believe. I think these are slightly higher; I
could go check. In any case, it's not a particularly fast vehicle;
the X1A2 improvements added a bit of weight.The_Chieftain: The AML's 90mm is not a smoothbore. It's the most bizarre
thing, but it is fully rifled with a twist rate of 1:infinity. i.e.
the rifling is dead straight, so it has the same spinning ability
of a smoothbore, without the obfuration benefits. Nobody's
really been able to give me a particularly good reason as to why
they did this. Best guess I've seen is it reduces
fouling. https://www.facebook...?type=3

move because he son was upgrading his M1 for shooting competitions.
I got my Enfield No. 4 Mk. 2 off gunbroker too. It was a bit
pricy at $700 BUT, it was so perfect it looked like it just came
out of the factory at Liverpool. This thing seriously had zero
scuffs on the wood, zero scuffs on the metal, all matching numbers
including a matching number bayonet. It had been fired like twice
by the previous owner, a CA hippie (literally his email had
flowerchild in it) just to make sure it worked.The_Chieftain: Erm... I think I got my No4 Mk2 off the same guy. Which
reminds me, I lost the magazine. Need to go shopping.

participating in (or at least lending their names to), I have
serious, serious doubts about this. Maybe I missed a bunch od data
somewhere (I am in no way involved it), but... well, first a bit of
my background - I did not directly participate in restoration
programs (as in, with my own hands) but I do know people
responsible for the restoration of two rather rare vehicles - the
LT Vz.35 (only one running in the world, you know it likely under
the name Panzer 35t) and LTP (Peruvian light tank, Czech made). I
am aware of general requirements and conditions for such an
undertaking. I haven't found any relavant info, questions and
answers, only seriously vague stuff. These issues include
the following: Did I miss something somewhere or am I right to be
concerned?The_Chieftain: Difficult to say without knowing the condition of the thing,
and just what components were used. I think it's optomistic, and
that the 75k would be used to -assist-, and not fully fund, but if
it's all centurion components, and the things like the new mantlet
cover are just metal sheetwork, it's not impossible that by using
parts they have in storage they can get it back to a pretty decent
condition.

The_Chieftain: It's a bit overdoing it. My collection. http://forum.worldof...49#entry1759449
Took Serb shooting the other day, actually. Almost surprised
it hasn't shown up on RSR, since his facebook profile was tagged.
Would have thought one of his FB friends would have leaked it.
