The_Chieftain: Although your point is well made, I would point out that the reason that the meta has been changing over time has been precisely because people have seen players try something unusual, and that that something unusual showed promise. Yes, usually those first 'odd moves' would have likely been with platoons in order to have a reasonable chance of success, but it snowballed from there.   As a result, even as an individual pubbie in the current meta, before committing yourself to the 'recommended' course of action, do an assessment.If, for example, you see a platoon going 'over there', give serious consideration to joining them and doing the job right.
