The_Chieftain:   No, he's talking about the one with the tac-rail which the sailor is holding in the picture. Looks to me that the auxilliary sights are dismounted. Either that, or there's a flip-up front sight about half way across the top, and the emergency rear sight is embedded into the tac-rail much like on the SIG 556.   In any case, the sight you picture is not a flip-up sight, it's just a tangent sight. Flip up sights are not part of the normal sight picture and remain unused until flipped up.
