That is a compressed-air fume extractor in action. Basically there
are tanks of compressed air that vent down the gun tube after it
has been fired to blow any remaining debris or gasses remaining in
the barrel out of the business end of gun. That way the
fumes don't spill back into the turret. Here is a IRL
video of BB61 firing that shows it in action. The_Chieftain: You're looking way too big. Take a look at an AMX-30 or
