get it. It was just as I remembered the wire-frame version, but
with much snazzier graphics. Down to the cockpit layout and
symbology.
Zergling, on Mar 08 2015 - 22:35, said: So yeah, I just completed an event for a free premium plane in WT.
...except because I already had that premium plane, I get nothing.
If it were Wargaming, I'd get gold. So once
again, Gaijin sucks. The_Chieftain: That changed, recently. We now give out a credit equivalent.
Dayus, on Mar 09 2015 - 05:52, said: Playing after a long break, by far doing best in the e5. Comfort
seats still excellent.The_Chieftain: Welcome back. Obviously PAX rekindled your interest.
Dominatus, on Mar 09 2015 - 13:19, said: Better than their other idea, which was, "We need to drive a
Churchill across this minefield. Do we have a minesweeper?" "No,
sir, but we have other Churchills to act as bridges"The_Chieftain: In fairness, that's just what the Churchill ARK was for.

velocity of about 3400 f/s in testing. (1036 m/s) Hunnicutt
lists it as 3000 f/s and in game it's 3100 f/s (945 m/s)The_Chieftain: Send me scans.
KilljoyCutter, on Mar 09 2015 - 17:42, said: This is very true as well -- Us vs Them is deeply ingrained
part of the problem. Of course, it doesn't help that many
people in some communities also see even the most honest, measured,
well-intentioned, well-executed policework as "enemy action".
The idea that police, etc, are a special elite, set apart
from the rest of the population, appears to be an old and deeply
ingrained fallacy that many of them cling to. Add to this the
corrosive attitude summarized in the comment "There are two kinds
of people -- criminals and potential criminals" that seems to
pervade some police departments... That said, my brother,
who is now one of the negotiators for SWAT in a major metro police
department, was where I first heard the comment "Half of all police
have no business being police. They're in it for the
powertrip, or the pension, or whatever."The_Chieftain: That, and the irritating habit of calling private citizens
'civilians' in order to distinguish them from police. Whether
police accept it or not, they are also civilian. As opposed to
military police.
EmpressNero, on Mar 09 2015 - 23:22, said: There's really no point to shoving VLS cells into the new
frigate, as it's not intended for anti-aircraft warfare. All
it needs to fit is anti-surface weapons, and that can easily be
done with deck-mounted launchers.The_Chieftain: Why not? VLSs provide an excellent versatility capability.
You don't have to fire Tomahawks and Standards from them with the
full SPY system. For example, a single cell will take a quad-pack
of ESSM close-defense anti-air missiles, or a VLASROC for ASW
duties.
