t5 and up can pen on the turret? The_Chieftain: If they can hit it reliably, especially at range, then your
point is valid enough. On the other hand, a significant portion of
the front turret -is- well armoured, and compared to many other
tanks with less depression, SP also makes a smaller target. Maybe I
was just playing 'old SP' wrong, and should have exposed my hull
more, but since I didn't, I'm not finding any limitations added to
my playstyle since.

thoughts as to why the in-game Super Pershing's frontal armor
differs from the historical photographs? The in-game SP's armor
layout, regardless of whether the tank is effective, is completely
unhistorical- and not even in a "eh, its close enough for
government work" way. Do you know if Minsk is aware of the
historical photographs? Even a casual glance at the Kassel
photographs shows that the two spaced plates meet at the top- why
isn't this reflected in the in-game model?The_Chieftain: I am old-fashioned, I use "Good enough for government
work" as "of highest standard." The original meaning. One of
those bizarre phrases that depending on who you talk to, can mean
two entirely different things. Although I share your concern
about the interior plate, I think your reasoning is
flawed: The Kessel photographs themselves seem far from
conclusive. Due to shadows, all I can see is that the 'inner' plate
in the game model is a little short on the right side of the tank,
the side with the bow MG, the critical piece is the top, where the
plates meet the blower housing, and the photos I have seen do not
show them. That said, the verbal description by Cooper
indicates to me that the inner sheet should go all the way to
the top, and the drawing (granted, one with some question marks) in
Hunnicutt matches this. I don't know what Minsk's plan is, I'll
ask.
