Springtime for T110 and the Americas

Дата: 02.01.2015 19:41:44
The_Chieftain: SS, two items, totally unrelated.   In the US, a common playground feature is old railroad locomotives. Usually steamers. Which, considering how hard they are to transport compared to a tank is saying something. I have to assume it's a cultural thing: The railroads built America, while the tank saved the Soviet Union.   On the matter of the Pz III(t) designation, Spielberger has the following to say. In the German Wehrmacht, the Panzer LTM 38 was used in the planned positions of the Panzer III tank, and it was listed in some documents as the Panzer III(t). On 1 September 1939 there were already 98 of these tanks assigned to German units. The official designation, following a directive of the OKH/AHA/AgK/In 6, was "Panzerkampfwagen 38(t) (3.7cm)"
