ultimately a human is far superior to a SHIV once they get trained
up, and you'll need the human skills to win. Instead of thinking of
rookies as meat shields for the SHIVs, consider the SHIVs as
bodyguards for the rookies until they become good enough to take
care of themselves and other rookies.
