I wondered, why the [edited]can arty aim to the ground? When
was that EVER useful for artillery in the real world? And now
I'm on the forums, asking the historians to confirm / deny the fact
that sky cancer can not only click me from across the
map, but also click me in close-quarter combat with some ridiculous
traverse and gun depression. Since this game is pseudo-historical,
maybe we could petition for a change? Arty needs complete
close-range weakness as a trade-off for complete long-range
domination. I think this is a wonderful idea.The_Chieftain: Although I'm not sure why I'm deigning to respond to a
historical thread with an immature title, I'm just officially
confirming the earlier reports of the use of artillery in the
direct fire role, including against tanks. Sicily, Tobruk and Anzio
come to mind.
