Highest Ranking Tank Commander

The_Chieftain: Brigadier Patrick Cordingly commanded 7th Armored Brigade from the TC's slot of his Challenger. He mentioned in his book that it was a conscious decision to do so instead of using the CP which was the 'official' posting for him. That said, he apparently did have a tank assigned to him on the MTOE, so I guess all armored brigade brigadiers were TCs on paper in the late 1980s.
