How do I get from an average player to a good player?

I try my best, but often times it's not enough.   My question, is how do I get to that point where I can carry the weight of my teammates? I've seen it happen during my career on Blitz, there comes a certain point where you confidently carry your teams.    My stats for anyone interested: https://wotlabs.net/na/player/NateRocko   What can I improve on?

TeriyakiTanker: The obvious answer being that you should stop playing Japanese heavies. But you are actually pretty solid for 3600 games, so it isn't like you are behind the power curve.  Basic things you can do to get better1.  Platoon with better players and see how they play.2.  Plethora of YouTube people you can watch, not going to list them here.3.  Get better crews, people like to pretend like this doesn't matter but thats just BS.4.  Find a tank you want to play and play it for a while, then rinse and repeat.5.  Don't grind up too many lines at once, stick with one style for a while until you are good at it and consider moving on after that6.  Don't play with stock tanks7.  Be aware of the map, make sure you increase the size of your mini map and use it8.  Don't be overly aggressive or passive9.  Learn the maps, this is one of the best things about watching streamers, you will learn about spots you didn't know about10.  You need to play a lot, practice makes perfect11.  Use Automatic Fire Extinguishers, over time they pay for themselves
