Crew 2.0 Really Screws Over a Lot of Your Crews

Well, the problem as I see it is that a “five skill crew” isn’t actually a five skill crew. With the way it is set up now, a “five skill crew” is impossible to replicate with the new system.
Let’s take a tier 10 Russian medium crew. TC is the radio operator IIRC, but that doesn’t really matter a ton. I’ll list the crew the way I normally spec them. One
TC - 6th, BIA, vision, vision, camo Gunner - BIA, camo, snap shot, repairs, firefight Driver - BIA, camo, smooth ride, ORD, repairs Loader - BIA, safe stowage, camo, adrenaline rush, repairs.
So one of the actual problems with the current system is that a lot of the useful skills are concentrated in the TC and to a lesser extent the driver. But with the current system a “5 skill crew” actually has 10 fully trained skills (6th, BIA, 2 vision, camo, snapshot, smooth ride, ORD, safe stowage, adrenaline rush) and one trained to 75%.
You can’t do that anymore. But nobody else can either, so at least that is a level playing field.
I don’t like having the “zero skill” crews get taken away either.
I do think it will change the game, so I guess if the goal is change for change’s sake then I guess it will be successful. I’m on the fence, I can see some interesting possibilities with the new system from playing around with the crew conversions on the sandbox.
TeriyakiTanker: As I said before I think there are some nice parts to where they
are going but there are really some issues. It doesn't seem
new player friendly in any way, I think it is somewhat more
complicated and daunting. Too many worthless skills/perks
again. More interested now in seeing what they change up for
the next iteration. I think crews should get more skill
points too.
